Check it out, this weekend Bikes and BBQ hosted by
Three Point Turnz if only I wasn't working that day!
I'm now entering my second week of having a cold, combined with some not so great weather I've been off my bike for a bit (have managed to fit in a few trips to the shops or post office on the BMX but that's about it).
Which has got me to thinking how it must bite if you've got to be off for awhile be it sickness, work, weather whatever the reason. Then last Friday we went and saw The way Bobby sees it and now I'm feeling I should just suck it up and get back on the bike.
So if you're suffering from lack of inspiration today check out Bobby and realise he's hardcore and you're just all marshmallow.
Amongst all the amazing coverage of the Sydney Tweed Ride our gorgeous new Rocket Fuel ladies capes got a review over at The Epicurean Cyclist.
Russ thinks the capes would be a perfect gift for a lady cyclist and we agree, why not spoil your special lady today.
Take the time to look at Russ's other site The Path Less Pedaled which apart from making me want to go cycle touring has also made me want to make paella this week as well.
With the exception of Grover from Sesame Street it's fairly hard to look good while blue and winter tests our fortitude. Do we brave the cold and turn blue or do we stay warm inside?
With the true test being do you leave your warm snug bed for the call of the street where the ghostly fog lingers and creates weird shadows in the lights. With thoughts of the cold nipping at one's ears many have opted to hit the snooze button, roll over and pull the covers back up.
Now with the warmth of a Rocket Fuel winter cap covering your ears the snooze button will no longer be your friend, you will already be on the road safe in the knowledge that come spring time you'll be out front of the pack.
Yesterday marked one month to the very day of the first ever Sydney Tweed Ride.
The excitement is building as is the rivalry of who will be best dressed.
We'd like to think anyone sporting a Rocket Fuel cap will be looking dapper and distinguished on the day, so get in now to get your cap before the tweed frenzy begins.
The word about the Sydney Tweed Ride is getting around with write ups by our fellow friends in Tweed SF Tweed, On the ride of stylish cycling at Laughing Squid
and a previous mention on DoubleOhTwo.
With the weather rapidly cooling the timing is about perfect for a spot of Tweed.
Following the fine style of London, San Francisco, Auckland and soon Chicago. Sydney is having it's very own Tweed Ride.
So gather your most dapper or ladylike apparel and join us for a spin around the city and a fine cup of tea!
Late night last night or was that this morning? We all stayed up watching that Queen of the Classics, the 'Hell of the North' the Paris-Roubaix.
Exciting race this year and prompted the 'one day we'll be there to see it in person'. We'll keep you posted on when that happens, till then enjoy the cobbles.
Sydney Bike Polo Open - Sunday 15th March

Are you part of a cycling club, bike user group, bike polo team or just want to grab a posse of mates and hang? No matter your style wouldn't your team tactics go up a whole lot in the intimidation process if you could all turn up wearing team cycle caps?
Rocket Fuel cycle caps are all individually handmade from vintage fabrics, normally one fabric one cap never to be repeated. However for teams we will make a set that match together all while being individual.
So get the team together, decide on some colours and let us make you look like the coolest kids in town.
