It might have hit 46 degrees but we managed to walk from the Metro out to see the Burj and take cover in an air conditioned souk for a spot of shopping.

Tomorrow I head off for what may be a white Christmas, and I'm not talking about the kind of white Christmas that would make Tom Boonen a happy man, I'm talking snow.

I jet off for my first ever cold Christmas, while in reality it's more likely to be sleet, wet and grey I'm secretly hoping to see a nice carpet of white over all the countryside.

For your reading pleasure I will be trying to blog as much of my trip as I can, sharing the bikes, people and places.
